Yesterday was a great day of Sunday School, worship, and fellowship at Neal’s Chapel Church. Bro. Bobby White, the current pastor, was preaching from the book of Romans in the New Testament about salvation and believing in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. During the actual message, a young girl from the back came up front, and made her way to the altar with her grandparents next to her side. Ultimately she made the important decision to accept God’s forgiveness, His plan of salvation in her heart and life, and the decision to follow Christ. Then, the rest of the congregation made their way up front, held hands, and prayed. A few were crying with tears of joy. The pastor went on to announce that him and the elders would set a date of baptism. God worked miraculously in that young child’s life and brought her to the point of salvation.
The salvation of God is available to everyone…no matter how young/old they are, where they live, their quality of education, and what they have done in their life. All a person must do is what the Apostle Paul wrote, That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. (Romans 10:9-10) It is very simple and understandable. It is the greatest personal decision anyone will ever make in their life. Yes, something wonderful happened yesterday and I praise God for it.
